It takes about 4/5 hours by boat from Thanchi Upazila Sadar of Bandarban district to walk from Remakri.
How to get there:
You have to go by bus from Dhaka to Bandarban. (Departs at night and arrives the next morning).
From Bandarban you have to go to Thanchi by moon car. It will take about 4 hours. (Can be reached by 1 pm).
You have to take 1 boat from Thanchi to Remakri. Name and address should be written at Thanchi check post. Remakri will reach the market from Thanchi via Tindu. If all goes well, it will take 4 hours. (If you leave on the same day, you can go to Remakri Bazaar on the first day, or you can leave Thanchi at night very early the next morning).
There is 1 rest house at Remakri Bazar. Although the rest house is not vacant, there are 20/25 houses, almost each of which has rooms for rent. If it is not empty then there is 1 school, you can keep in touch with the locals.

'Khum' in Marma means waterfall. Three hours from Remakri You have to cross the walking path to the amazingly beautiful waterfall, which is called 'Nafakhum'. The water flow of Remakri canal came to this Nafakhum and took a bend and suddenly went down to about 25-30 feet .... A wonderful waterfall has been created by nature! Colorful rainbow that always plays in the sunlight! In the rainy season, the flow of Remakri canal is not very low ... almost like the Sangu river upstream. Nafakhum is probably the largest waterfall in Bangladesh in terms of water flow volume. The roar of the water is heard all around. During the rainy season, the size of the fountain is large and in winter it becomes weak. The real beauty of Nafakhum can be seen in September-October. It would be wrong to call it Niagara of Bengal. Looking at the mountains, rivers and rocky canals, it feels like I'm in a Hollywood movie. The green mountain forests on both sides and the rocky land have given a different dimension to the Nafakhum spring, making it more attractive. It is difficult to believe that there is such a beautiful place in our country.
